Daytona Beach, Florida, is the American paradise of motor-sports. The first stock-car races were held on Daytona's sandy beaches. They featured ordinary cars that had been tuned for the smuggling of alcohol during Prohibition; the ingenious moonlighters had tuned the engines so that they could out-run the police!
The Daytona tri-oval track, opened in 1959, is four kilometers long, has three steep bends and three straights. It was here that the slipstream effect was first discovered and utilized in racing.
The Daytona Paradise special effect color pays homage to this legendary race track. Its sparkle inspires through an impressive display of colours. Depending on how the light is reflected, Daytona Paradise "pitches" a fascinating range of blue and green shades: intense petrol changing to bright emerald, then a shimmer of gold vanishing in a deep violet hue.
